From Lennox Technical Representative to Independent HVAC Owner
Before founding Malek Heating & Air Conditioning in 1995, Mr. Malek spent years working as a Lennox Technical Representative — the role Lennox assigns to its most technically capable field experts. In that position, he was sent to diagnose complex system failures that stumped regional installers, and to train dealers on correct installation and commissioning procedures across Ontario.
That experience gave him something most HVAC company owners simply don't have: manufacturer-level knowledge of how heating and cooling systems work at a fundamental level — not just how to install them by following a checklist.
When he started Malek Heating in 1995, the mission was simple: apply that technical depth to honest, owner-led residential HVAC service. No franchise scripts. No call-centre dispatch. No upselling customers on equipment they don't need. Just technically correct diagnosis, properly sized installations, and advice you can trust because it comes from someone who genuinely knows the equipment.
